Where do you shoot?

I don’t work out of a fixed studio — I shoot on location, choosing spaces that fit the concept, whether that’s a rented studio, an interesting architectural spot, or somewhere you already have in mind. If you’re not sure where, I’m happy to suggest options.

What is your background and approach?

I started out working alongside lead photographer Pedro Cabral at AMOL Magazine, an international fashion and photography publication, before returning to the craft with a sharper focus on client-driven work. My approach combines careful lighting and in-camera technique with hand-done retouching — I try to capture as much as possible for real, rather than fixing it all after the fact.

How does availability work?

You can check open dates directly through the booking calendar and send a request. Every session is confirmed by hand, not auto-booked, so I can make sure the concept and scope are right before we lock it in.

Can I book you outside Lisbon?

Yes — I’m based in Greater Lisbon and available for travel. Send over the details (location, scope, timing) and I’ll put together a quote that includes travel.

What kind of work do you take on?

Fine-art and concept portraiture, live music and stage coverage, commercial and brand work, family sessions, and custom projects that don’t fit neatly into a category. See the Rates page for a full breakdown, or get in touch if you’re not sure where your idea fits.

Will my images be published online?

Only with your consent. If you’d rather your images stay private, let me know and they won’t be used for promotion or portfolio purposes.

How much does a session cost?

Pricing depends on the type of session — see the Rates page for starting prices across portrait, music, commercial, and family work. Commercial and custom projects are quoted individually based on scope.

Do you work with people who’ve never modeled before?

Absolutely — most of the people I photograph aren’t professional models. I’ll guide you through posing and direction on the day, so no prior experience is needed.

What’s your approach to editing?

All retouching is done by hand — dodge and burn, color grading, and detail work — rather than automated filters. I aim to keep the result looking real and intentional, not over-processed.

How long until I get my photos?

Fine-art and editorial sessions typically take around 2 weeks to edit and deliver, unless a faster turnaround has been agreed in advance for an extra fee. Live coverage is delivered within 48 hours to 1 week, and other session types within about a week. These are usual timelines — if we agree on a specific delivery date, that date will be honored; otherwise the standard timelines above apply.

Can I bring a friend to the session?

Of course — if having someone there helps you feel more comfortable, they’re welcome to come along.

Do you provide wardrobe, styling, or props?

I don’t provide wardrobe or props directly, but I’m glad to talk through concept and styling direction ahead of the session so what you bring fits the shot.

Do you offer physical prints?

Limited edition prints are coming soon through the Store — get in touch if you’d like early access, or if you need archival or exhibition-grade prints for a specific project.

What should I bring or wear?

This depends entirely on the concept — we’ll go over wardrobe and styling together before the shoot so everything lines up with the lighting and setting.

How far in advance should I book?

At least a week in advance for most sessions. If your concept needs specific props or equipment that has to be sourced first, we’ll agree on a lead time that fits, case by case.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Just get in touch as soon as you can. A 30% retainer confirms your booking and is non-refundable, but I’ll always do my best to find a new date that works.

What should I expect during the session?

We’ll start by going over the concept together, then move through the shoot at a relaxed pace — I’ll guide you through posing and direction the whole way, so you don’t need to figure anything out on your own.

Do you use a model release or licensing agreement?

Yes — every session is covered by a signed agreement outlining usage and rights, so both of us are clear on what’s expected.

Can I use the images for my own marketing or portfolio?

Personal use — portfolio, social media, self-promotion — is included as standard, with photo credit. Broader commercial use is agreed separately as part of your project quote.

What if I’m nervous or don’t know how to pose?

Totally normal, and very common. I give clear, simple direction throughout the shoot — you don’t need to know how to pose going in, I’ll guide you through it.

What equipment do you use?

Professional full-frame Nikon cameras and fast lenses built for low light, paired with portable lighting for on-location control. The goal is always the same regardless of gear — clean detail, even in near-darkness, and light shaped the way the concept needs.

How does photo selection work?

After the shoot, I go through everything and send you a private gallery of the best shots. From there, you pick the images for full retouching.

Do you accept collaborations or TFP projects?

Occasionally, for projects that are a genuinely good creative fit. Send over your idea through the contact form and I’ll let you know.

Where are you based?

Greater Lisbon, Portugal — and available for travel beyond that.
