FAQ
Where is your studio?
I don’t have a fixed studio — I usually work in co-work or rental studios, which gives me the freedom to choose the best location for each shoot. Sometimes it might be at Moove Studio Lisbon, other times it could be an on-site location, a thematic Airbnb, or even a hotel room specially chosen for the concept we’re creating.
Are you a professional?
I’m an artistic photographer who is committed to delivering high-quality work with the utmost professionalism. While my style is creative and expressive, I approach every project with serious dedication and respect for the craft.
Are you full-time dedicated to photography?
Not exactly. Since I focus on niche, alternative photography projects, I split my time between my artistic work and my main job. This balance allows me to stay creative, selective with projects, and fully dedicated to each shoot when it happens.
Can I book you for other cities or countries?
Yes, absolutely. I’m available for projects outside Lisbon — whether in other cities or even abroad. Just send me the details (location, concept, dates), and I’ll prepare a custom budget based on travel and shooting costs.
Do you do other kinds of photography?
Only in very special cases. My work is very personal and style-driven, so I usually don’t accept projects outside my aesthetic. I always try to keep things as close as possible to my dark, artistic vision — that’s where my creativity flows best.
Will my photos be published online?
It depends on the type of project and our agreement. Photos and videos will only be published online (e.g., on the website or social media) with the client’s explicit consent. I fully respect your privacy and will never share your images without your permission.
How much does a photoshoot cost?
It depends on the project. I have a base internal rate that I use as a starting point, but the final price always depends on the complexity of the shoot — things like location, duration, concept, preparation, and editing needs.
The best way to get an accurate quote is to tell me your idea. I’ll be happy to prepare a custom proposal based on what you’re looking for.
Do you work with beginners or only professional models?
Experience is not a requirement at all. What matters most to me is attitude, connection, and trust in the creative process.
I work with both professional models and people doing their very first photoshoot. In fact, I love to turn regular people to the dark side — if you’re open to exploring something artistic and unique, we’ll create something powerful together, no matter your experience level.
Do you offer photo retouching or editing?
Yes, I do. My editing style is integral to the concept of each shoot. I focus on enhancing the mood, lighting, and atmosphere while staying true to the artistic vision we create together.
I do basic skin retouching, but my goal is to keep the rawness and character in the photos. I don’t typically over-edit or heavily alter the subjects, as I prefer to keep the essence of the original shot. However, if the concept calls for more dramatic edits or fantasy elements, I’m happy to work with you on those details.
How long does it take to receive the photos?
The timeline depends on the complexity of the shoot and the editing process. Generally, you can expect to receive the first batch of edited images within 2–3 weeks after the shoot.
For larger or more intricate projects, it may take a bit longer, but I’ll always keep you updated on the progress.
I want to make sure every detail is perfect before I deliver the final photos — quality takes time!
Can I bring a friend to the shoot?
I want you to feel comfortable and relaxed, so if bringing a friend helps you, that’s absolutely fine. Just keep in mind that sometimes having an extra person can bring added pressure or “judging eyes,” which might make things feel a bit more tense. I always recommend keeping the environment as calm and focused as possible to get the best results.
For larger shoots, I may limit the number of people to avoid distractions and keep the creative energy flowing.
Do you provide outfits, styling, or props?
I usually focus on the photography aspect, but I’m always open to collaborating on styling and props depending on the concept. I can provide suggestions or help source items, but I don’t offer full styling services.
If you want a specific look or theme, feel free to bring your own wardrobe, accessories, or any props that fit the concept. The more personal and unique, the better!
Can I book you for a personal project (boudoir, couple shoot, etc.) in your style?
Yes, I’m open to personal projects like boudoir, couple shoots, or anything else, as long as it aligns with my dark, artistic vision. I love bringing unique ideas to life with a creative twist.
That said, I do reserve the right to decline any project that doesn’t resonate with my style or artistic goals. It’s important that we’re both excited and on the same page for the best outcome!
Do you shoot events, weddings, or corporate stuff?
I don’t typically take on traditional event, wedding, or corporate photography. My focus is on creating unique, artistic, and alternative concepts that align with my style.
That said, if you have an unconventional or dark-themed event, feel free to reach out — I’m open to something outside the ordinary. However, I do reserve the right to decline any project that doesn’t align with my artistic vision or goals.
Do you offer prints or physical products?
Currently, I focus primarily on digital work and sharing images through my online platforms. However, if you’re interested in prints or other physical products, just let me know! I’m happy to arrange prints or discuss other ways to bring your photos to life beyond the screen.
What should I bring or wear for the shoot?
What you wear depends on the concept we’re creating, but I always like to align the outfits with you at least a week prior to the shoot. That way, we can make sure everything fits the vision perfectly.
I usually lean toward darker, more dramatic styles, but ultimately, it’s about your vibe and how comfortable you feel. If you’re unsure, I can offer suggestions, but feel free to bring anything that fits the concept or helps you feel confident and empowered.
How far in advance should I book a photoshoot?
I recommend booking at least 3 to 5 weeks in advance, especially for more complex or themed shoots. This gives us both time to align on concepts, outfits, and locations to ensure everything is perfect. For larger projects or shoots in different cities, it’s best to reach out even earlier.
I’m flexible, but the more time we have, the better the planning — and the better the final result!
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
I ask that you try to notify me at least 1 week prior if you need to cancel or reschedule. This gives us both enough time to make adjustments. If cancellations happen closer to the date, rescheduling may not be possible, and the deposit may not be refunded.
What should I expect during the shoot?
I always aim to make my models feel at ease from the start. I usually keep things light with casual conversation to get to know each other and make it a fun experience.
I encourage models to bring a playlist with their favorite songs, so we can set the right vibe during the shoot. We’ll start with the most comfortable outfits and gradually move into more complex ones as we go along.
I also like to give models as much freedom as possible to express themselves, but if needed, I might offer a few tips or adjustments on posture — and I always explain why to make sure it enhances the shot.
Do you provide a model release form?
Yes, I always provide a model release form, and it’s a necessary step before the shoot begins. This protects us both legally. According to European law, the image rights belong to the model, but the release form allows me to work with the photos and use them as part of my artistic process.
The model release usually includes a clause stating that both parties need to discuss any photos before they’re published. I will never publish or share any photos without the model’s explicit consent.
Can I use the photos for my own marketing or portfolio?
Yes, absolutely! You’re welcome to use the photos for your personal portfolio or marketing, as long as we’ve agreed on that upfront. It’s important that you give proper credit and acknowledge the collaboration.
What if I’m nervous or shy?
It’s completely normal to feel nervous or shy — being photographed is an unnatural experience for most people, and it takes courage to step in front of the camera. But it’s the only way to know if you enjoy the experience or not. The end result could either inspire you to do more shoots or make you realize it’s not your thing — but you’ll never know unless you try.
I’ll do my best to make you feel comfortable and confident, guiding you through the process. My goal is to bring out the darkness in you in a way that feels incredible. You’re in good hands, and by the end, you’ll feel like you truly belong in the shot!
What happens if I don’t know how to pose?
No worries at all! I will provide videos with guides and ideas ahead of time to help you prepare for the shoot and make it easier. During the shoot, I’ll also be there to guide you and give feedback on your poses, ensuring everything feels natural and looks great.
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use a professional-grade Canon camera paired with my beloved 35mm lens, which I absolutely love for its sharpness and versatility. For editing, I rely on Adobe Creative Suite, mainly using Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom to bring the images to life.
How does the photo selection process work?
I start by removing any photos that didn’t turn out as expected. Then, I create a preview set with basic lighting edits, allowing the model(s) to make the first round of selections. It’s important to me that we work only on the photos that the model truly loves and feels great in.
Once the selection is made, I proceed with detailed editing and deliver the final images in full size and maximum quality in JPEG format. If you need very large print-size files, I can provide those on request as well.
If we do a collaboration, do I have to pay?
No. If we engage in a collaboration, there will be no cost to you. However, if you later decide that you want the photos and/or videos removed from my portfolio, website, or social media, a fee may apply to cover the time and expenses involved.
Where are you usually based?
I’m based in Lisbon, Portugal — but my art can travel anywhere.
